Friends,
First of all, welcome here from one of my favorite networking places, Twitter. My name is Matt Wilkie and I love connecting with people. If we haven’t met, a little about me…
M faith is very important to me. I’ve been doing my best to help people, since 1992 (well, I guess my whole life, but as a career since then); first as a youth/young adult pastor, then as part of the @OneHope team and now as director of @convoyofhope’s internship program. We serve in the US and around the world, helping to meet physical and spiritual needs. We’ve built water filters, helped in orphanages, served through feeding programs, and do our best to share hope with those in great need.
I’ve led international teams since 2002 and love connecting with people and other cultures here and abroad. The world is an enormous and a very small place. Tools like Twitter are making it smaller.
I tweet about various things: what I’m reading, coffee, Johnny Cash, my church, my family…but more than anything, I tweet about things happening internationally and what’s happening at/through @convoyofhope. I also hope to raise awareness of need around the world, tell the stories of the ways those needs are met, and share tools I’ve encountered to help the process. That’s the focus of this website.
Through www.aroundtheworldwithJesus.com, I hope to do those three things…raise awareness, tell the stories, and share the tools.
Thanks for stopping by. I’d love to hear from you and connect with you further.
With appreciation,
@mattwilkie
